We aim to guide your child in becoming an effective learner through creating an environment that is challenging and stimulating.
Our programs are also developed using guidelines from current research on early childhood development, advice from our governing bodies, the NSW Department of Education and Communities and the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority. Information comes from other professional sources such as Australian Early Childhood Association, Community Child Care Co-operative and NSW Health.
All educators are responsible for planning your child’s program and trainees are assisted by our experienced early childhood teachers and room leaders.
Educators observe the children using various methods including learning stories, photographs, conversations with parents, group observations and conversations with the children themselves. The children control which direction their learning takes and the educators use their child development knowledge to support this.
Our environment is arranged so that children have access to a range of resources that challenge and develop new skills or allow them to practise recently acquired skills.
We believe children are better supported to learn and develop when using a holistic approach on their learning journey. This is why parents and families are encouraged to join in with their child’s learning by adding to portfolios, making suggestions, participating in surveys or talking with educators.
From these valuable observations, and in conjunction with the parents, the educators set up meaningful experiences both indoors and outdoors to maximise the children’s learning.
